VH-SWO Embraer ERJ-170-100LR - Sky Air World

VH-SWO was the first Embraer ERJ-170 to arrive in Australia for SkyairWorld early 2007. Most of the surface preparation was carried out in the Jetcare maintenance facility, topcoat and scheme application was carried out in the Boeing maintenance hangar at Brisbane Airport. All work was carried out in accordance with Flying Colours specialised approved on-site procedures for painting. It was sad to see on airliners.net that sections of the livery has been removed.

VH-XMO/XML/XMR - Boeing 737-300F - Qantas / Australian Air Express

FLYING COLOURS
was fortunate to be involved in the B737 Qantas freighter conversions carried out at Qantas heavy maintenance facility at Avalon in Victoria. We worked closely with the Qantas Project Management team to assess the key issues effecting the painting program.

FLYING COLOURS developed a specialised:

  • On site Environmental Management Plan - E.M.P.  (we were successful in obtaining approval from the Environmental Protection Agency )
  • On site Occupational Health & Safety systems to ensure a safe and healthy environment for all personnel who worked within, or maybe effected by the painting operation.
  • Extensive Job Safety Analysis reports.
  • Investment in purpose built mobile extraction fans and spraying equipment to meet environmental and OH&S requirements.

VH-ANO - Embraer 170 - Air North

VH-ANO was the second Embraer 170 to enter service in Australia for AirNorth based in Darwin. On completion of the paint work  our paint crew flew to Darwin (to paint another AirNorth aircraft Embraer 120) we were the first passengers to fly on the EMB170 from Brisbane to Darwin. A very comfortable aircraft , very quiet, plenty of leg room. Smooth landing, great flight crew.
